Launching of the book "Edible wild mushrooms native to Chile".
It is a pleasure to announce that this September 28th was the launching of the book "Native Edible Wild Mushrooms of Chile" by our founder and president Viviana Salazar-Vidal, published by Editorial Libro Verde. This book addresses the recognition, sustainable harvesting and recipes with edible wild mushrooms native to Chile.
"This guide will be your companion when collecting wild mushrooms. You will be able to identify the differences between edible and poisonous mushrooms, as well as recognize the places where they live, the best time to harvest them, considering their size and the amount necessary for them to continue to reproduce in the forest. You will also find different recipes that will open a world full of new flavors and exquisite textures. Learn and know this practice, recognizing, protecting and promoting the regeneration of these vital organisms, and thus, contribute to the sustainability of our ecosystem".
With this publication invites to know, recognize and collect wild mushrooms, some of them existing only in Chile. "In this guide we will know which mushrooms are edible, which are poisonous, in which places we can find them and when to harvest them", explains the author.
