Award of Rufford Fund for research in the Nahuelbuta mountain range!

We are very happy that our founder Viviana Salazar-Vidal, who is also director of Lemu Rehue: Thinking like a Forest, has been awarded a Rufford Fund to carry out the project "Knowledge of Biodiversity for Environmental Education and Conservation of Macrofungi in the Nahuelbuta Mountain Range", in which four members of our team and other colleagues will participate.

This project will contribute to conduct mycological excursions to learn about the current diversity of macrofungi in the study area, as well as the species of edible wild mushrooms that grow in this geographical area, their distribution and ecology, which will allow us to detect vulnerable species that need protection and carry out educational activities that promote the protection of mushrooms.
