

Christian Valdés Reyes (Chris)
Short biography:
Born in Linares, Maule Region, he is a lover of forests and nature, which led him to study Forestry Engineering at the University of Talca. While participating in a Native Forest Research Fund project, he was amazed by the immense amount of fungi present in forests, which led him to continue to explore this area further.
University studies:
Forestry Engineer and Bachelor of Forestry Sciences from the University of Talca.
Area of interest:
Biological diversity, ecology, and taxonomy of fungi and myxomycetes, with an emphasis on environmental and scientific outreach. Other areas of interest include dendrology and surface hydrology.

Volunteering for CODEFF (National Committee for the Defense of Flora and Fauna), Latin American Association of Forestry Science Students (ALECIF).
